In what way does your media product develop forms and conventions of real media products?
One way in which we developed our trailer was in the way we created the titles. From our audience feedback we found that the audience would prefer the titles to have moving footage behind it, so we made sure that we had a piece of footage in which we could place the title over. This is what our titles would have looked like if we just done what the audience said they wanted to see in the most simplistic form however we wanted to develop our title even further, so to develop it even further and make it more exciting and unique for the audience we wanted to make the text transparent to the words do not block any of the footage behind it. After researching a few tutorials we found one which did exactly what we wanted, so we followed the tutorial to create our final titles which looked like this...

Above is the tutorial we followed to achieve our title for our trailer.
Another way in which we developed our trailer was by having CCTV footage, we done this as we wanted to create suspense for our audience and we wanted them to feel scared for the characters. We got this idea from real media texts as we found that a lot of horror movies use CCTV and surveillance footage to create a scene filled with suspense and it can make the audience feel uneasy as they know someone is there watching over some of the characters but they don't know who. One example of CCTV in a real media text would be in paranormal activity.
Paranormal Activity:

The way in which we developed this was that when filming we filled the exact same sequence several times but from different angles. With these clips we then edited one to look like CCTV footage and left the rest as normal, we then took all these clips and edited them to create a split screen. We felt that by having a split screen it would add more excitement for the audience and have an element that not many other films have. We also felt that by having the CCTV edited footage it would develop our location further as it made just a regular underpass look more interesting and made the location more scary and have a greater sense of danger to it.
